Silver Brazing Filler Metals
Cadmium-Free Silver Brazing Alloys
Cadmium-Free silver brazing alloys are used for the joining of most ferrous and nonferrous metals, except aluminum and magnesium. Silver alloys are low-temperature, free flowing, and produce strong, ductile, and leak-proof braze joints.

Silverphos Brazing Filler Metals
Silverphos (silver-phosphorus) alloys are designed to braze copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass. The silver content in these alloys influence fluidity and improves the overall ductility of the brazing alloy. The phosphorus content acts as a fluxing agent during the braze process. Prince & Izant Silverphos alloys are widely used in the refrigeration, air conditioning and plumbing industries.

Cadmium-Bearing Silver Brazing Filler Metals
Cadmium-bearing silver brazing alloys are also available at Prince & Izant. The addition of cadmium to silver brazing alloys effectively lowers the brazing temperature and assists in wetting the base metals. These alloys can be used for general purposes, joining large joint clearances and dissimilar combinations, joining ferrous and non-ferrous close-fitting joints, and joining tungsten carbide tips and stainless steel.

Cadmium is a known carcinogen and exposure to cadmium fumes may result in cancer and other hazardous side effects.
