Rod
Precious metals in rod form are often used in the manufacturing of machined and micro-machined components. They are used in various implantable device assemblies, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, neuromodulation devices, and other intravascular therapies.
Common PGM rod materials include but are not limited to platinum, platinum-iridium, gold, and silver with dimensions measuring 0.025” (0.635mm) to 0.200” (5.08mm) in diameter with a 6” to 72” length. Custom specifications can be met per unique customer applications. Custom properties might include roundness, tensile strength, elongation, surface finish, and straightness.
