PLATINUM 87% RHODIUM 13% TECHNICAL DATA
USES
Platinum Rhodium Alloys are used for applications at high temperatures. With a relatively low temperature of the pahe separation, platinum rhodium alloys do no normally arise under practival conditions. Platinum rhodium allows have substantially higher strength than pure platinum while still deomonstrating the oxidations resistance of pure platinum.
MANUFACTURING CHARACTERISTICS
The mechanical strength, thermal and corrosion resistance of Pt/Rh becomes greater with increasing rhodium content. Minimal weight loss will occur in oxidizing atmosheres.
APPLICATIONS
Pt/Rh can be used to manufacture electrodes for implantable medical devices.
