Fine and Ultra Fine Wire

Our precious metal wires can be fabricated into many forms including micro coils, straight length rods or pins,depending on customer need. Customers choose from stock wire in standard diameters from .00087” to .125”; stock alloys of gold, platinum, palladium and silver; or request custom fabrications. 

• PI defines fine wire as fine when the diameter ranges between 0.005" - 0.002" (0.127mm - 0.05mm)
• PI defines ultra fine wire as anything with a diameter below 0.002" (0.05mm)

Radiopaque Marker Bands and Ring Electrodes

We manufacture radiopaque marker bands and ring electrodes to the industry's tightest machining tolerances. Custom engineered solutions are also available.

• Smallest ID = 0.0045" (0.1143mm)
• Largest OD = 0.5" (12.7mm)
• OD/ID Tolerances = +/- 0.0002" (0.0254mm)
• Wall Tolerances = Varies based on ring size - as tight as 0.001" (0.0254mm)
• Length Tolerances = Varies based on ring size; contact P&I 

Rod

Our precious metal rods are commonly used in the manufacturing of machined and micro machined components.

• Diameter = 0.025" - 0.0200" (0.635mm - 5.08mm)
• Length = 6" - 72" 

Precision Pins

Precious metal precision pins and fiducial markers are micro machined from rod and wire and are often used in a variety of electro-medical devices.

Strip (Ribbon and Foil)

PI strip (ribbon, sheet or foil) products are used to manufacture high-precision metal stampings.

• Smellest Thickness = 0.001" (0.0254mm)
• Largest Thickness = 0.020" (0.508mm)

• Largest Width = 4" (101.6mm)
