Nickel Brazing Alloys
ABOUT NICKEL BRAZING ALLOYS
The nickel brazing alloys are generally used when specifications call for corrosion resistance and high-temperature service properties but can also be used in subzero applications as low as the temperature of liquid oxygen, helium, or nitrogen.
Nickel brazing alloys have low vapor pressure, making these alloys suited to vacuum systems and vacuum tube applications. They are best brazed with joint clearances of 0.002 in. to 0.004 in. per slide.
COMMON APPLICATIONS AND FORMS
Nickel brazing alloys are used most commonly in high temperature brazing applications. With their joint strength and resistance to corrosion, nickel brazing alloys are ideal for jet engine parts and assemblies, food handling equipment, nuclear energy and carbide tools.
