Manufactured Rings

Prince & Izant designs and manufactures brazing rings to customer-defined specifications. Our braze rings help to provide accurate control over braze volume and improve the overall consistency during the joining process. Our manufacturing capabiltities allow us to produce a multitude of ring types ensuring more efficient and higher quality braze joints.

 ID Butt-End Ring with Slight Helix

Most common ring. Made with an undersized ID which will cling fit onto the OD of a part. Helix is usually equal to half of the wire DIA.

Common ring. Made with an undersized ID which will cling fit onto the OD of a part. Typical dimensions: 0.500 ID X 0.035 X 0.015 Max Gap, No Helix.
 ID or OD Multi-Turn Ring

These can be produced in a range from a slight overlap to multiple turns. Typical dimensions: 0.500 ID X 0.035 X 0.015 Max Gap.
 OD Gap Ring  
OD Gap Ring
Common ring for inserting a ring into the ID of a brazed part. The ring is made with an oversized OD and gap which are both compressed to have a compression fit into the ID of the base part. Typical dimensions: 0.500 OD X 0.035 X 0.040-0.030 Gap.
 ID Segment Ring  
ID Segment Ring 
These rings can be used for appliations where the joint is less than 360. Typical dimensions 0.500 ID X 0.035 X 0.015 Max Gap.
 ID Band Ring

A ring made from flattened wire. Often used to increase volume of preform where increased wire diameter won't work. Also used to place 1 preform instead of 2. ID Typical dimensions: 0.500 ID X 0.020 X 0.050 BAND-RING X 0.015

 Edgewound Ring  
Edgewound
A ring made from flattened wire, but with the smaller surface on the ID & OD. Can be a cheaper alternative to a washer. Edgewounds have a slight helix. Typical dimension: 0.500 ID X 0.020 X 0.050 EDGEWOUND X 0.015 Max Gap.
