Gold Brazing Alloys
ABOUT GOLD BRAZING ALLOYS
Gold brazing alloys are used for the brazing of iron, nickel, and cobalt base metals. These filler metals provide greater resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and ductility, which can play an important role in the services of their part. They are commonly used on thin base metals due to their low rate of interaction with base metals.
COMMON APPLICATIONS AND FORMS
Gold brazing alloys are typically used with induction, furnace, or resistance heating in a protective-atmosphere, in which case no flux is used. Borax-boric acid flux is used when the application requires a flux.
The gold series of brazing alloys are available in powder, paste, foil, wire, and performs.
